RMTi School Readiness Certificated Weekend Training Course

Introduction to Reflexes and Development

This two-day weekend course in Rhythmic Movement Training is a great entry level introduction to the roles of intrauterine, primitive and postural reflexes – and the subsequent effects on children if these reflexes remain active.

This course is particularly suitable for parents and professionals working with early years and young children.

During the two days you will be shown and practice movements to help integrate active or retained reflexes as well as useful activities that can be used in group settings as well as for individuals.

Topics covered include:

  • The role of movement, reflexes and senses in development
  • Brain and natural development
  • Importance of play in development
  • Physiological indications of having done enough
  • Reflexes in relation to challenges we see in the classroom or at home e.g.: emotional regulation, mobility, muscle-tone, stability, co-ordination, focus and impulse control
  • Fear and Anxiety
  • Overwhelm
  • Foundations of communication

The course is insurable as a Rhythmic Movement Training student and you will receive a certificate of completion. This alone does not qualify anyone as a fully qualified Rhythmic Movement Training Consultant.

No pre-requisites are required for this training.
